On August 1, 2025, representatives from the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) paid a courtesy visit to Tapaz Municipal Mayor Hon. Rex Dante L. Palomar. The visit was led by Mr. Arwin Rafael, Project Assistant of the DA-BSWM, as part of their ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Adaptive Balanced Fertilization Strategy (ABFS) project.
The team proceeded to Barangay Apero, where they conducted a mapping and site validation covering 90 hectares of agricultural land enrolled under the ABFS program. The initiative aims to improve soil fertility and promote sustainable farming practices.
Joining the visit were Executive Assistant V Loreto Gadong and Municipal Agriculture Office OIC Jhel Giner, who expressed full support for the program and its long-term benefits to local farmers.
The local government of Tapaz continues to collaborate with national agencies in implementing science-based, farmer-focused agricultural strategies that enhance productivity while preserving soil and water resources.
