On August 07, 2025 The Local Unit of Tapaz was successfully conducted a Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference, participated by Sixty five (65) participants held at Tapaz Training Hall.
The said conference was facilitated by the designated CSO Desk Officer Cherrylyn Senal, MLGOO Vito Navarra, Cheryyl P. Tacda CESO V – Provincial Director – DILG, Engr. Richard Gloria with the support of Mary Jecyle A. Luda LGOO II, Rozel L. Langurayan LGOO V.
The event was also supported by Municipal Mayor Hon. Rex Dante L. Palomar represented by Municipal Administrator Atty. Vicente Atlas Catalan, for sharing time and support the events meaningful to us with SB Hon.Hernalyn P. Pastrana Committee Chairperson on Cooperatives, NGO’s & PO’s, Hon. Nicholas G. Gevero, Hon. Liezel G. Aldea and the rest of the Civil Society Organization Representative of Tapaz for the active participation.
The main objective of the conference is to raise awareness on the importance of civil society participation in local governance processes and to orient participants on the accreditation guidelines, encourage CSOs to apply for accreditation with the local sangguniang and enabling their formal participation in policy-making, and to provide a venue for CSOs to share their comments and inputs on LGU plan, programs, and policies.
The Local Government Unit of Tapaz continues to champion a governance model where local voices are not only heard but are instrumental in shaping the city’s future.
