A former member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) has taken a significant step toward reintegration into society with the help of financial assistance provided by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tapaz and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The financial aid was personally handed over by Hon. Mayor Roberto O. Palomar, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Josie Cambel, and DSWD staff during a simple ceremony held in Tapaz.

β€œThis assistance is part of our continuous effort to encourage peace and reconciliation while supporting individuals in starting a new chapter in their lives,” said Mayor Palomar.

The financial support aims to provide the recipient with the resources needed to rebuild their life and contribute positively to the community. The LGU of Tapaz and the DSWD remain steadfast in their commitment to fostering peace and development through programs that assist former rebels in reintegrating into society.
