Last July 3, 2025, Municipal Mayor Hon. Rex Dante Palomar conducted an on-site visit to the Motorpool of LGU Tapaz to personally assess the condition and functionality of government-owned vehicles and heavy equipment. Joining him were Municipal Administrator Atty. Atlas Catalan, Special Assistant to the Mayor Loreto Gadong, and Municipal Engineer Victorio Jimenez.
The visit aimed to inspect the operational status of light vehicles, heavy equipments, and available spare parts, as well as to evaluate the maintenance needs and readiness for deployment in ongoing and upcoming infrastructure and disaster response activities.
Mayor Palomar emphasized the importance of ensuring that all LGU equipment is well-maintained, roadworthy, and ready for immediate use, especially during emergencies and critical operations. He likewise called for the establishment of a more systematic and organized approach in managing the Motor pool,covering maintenance scheduling, inventory of spare parts, and monitoring of equipment usage, to improve efficiency and prolong the service life of government assets.
This initiative forms part of the Mayor’s commitment to responsive governance and the continuous improvement of public service delivery in the municipality.
