Tapaz, Capiz โ€“ The proposed Artuz-Apero Bridge in the Municipality of Tapaz has officially been included in the Pang-Agraryong Tulay Para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka (PBBM Bridges) Project, a flagship infrastructure initiative approved by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board on November 9, 2023.

As part of the projectโ€™s development phase, a site survey and data gathering activity was conducted on April 7, 2025 to validate the feasibility of the bridge construction. The activity was spearheaded by CHEIL Engineering Co., Ltd., a firm commissioned by the Korean Export-Import Bank (KEximBank) to undertake the feasibility study validation for the PBBM Bridges Project.

Survey teams from CHEIL Engineering were deployed to the proposed site to assess technical requirements, geographic conditions, and community needs in preparation for the final design and implementation of the bridge.

The on-site survey was attended by officials from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the Local Government Unit of Tapaz, led by Municipal Engineer Engr. Victorio Jimenez and Engr./EnP Richard Gloria.

The inclusion of the Arjuz-Apero Bridge in the PBBM Bridges Project marks a significant step toward improving rural connectivity, promoting inclusive growth, and supporting the livelihood of local farmers in agrarian communities.
