Last July 2,2025, The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) made a courtesy visit to Mayor Rex Dante Palomar to talk about their ongoing and upcoming programs for Tapaz farmers.
The team was led by Mr. Melvin Vigo, Supervising Head for Capiz, Aklan, and Antique, together with OIC Municipal Agriculturist Jhel Giner.
They discussed the upcoming release of indemnity claims for insured farmers in the lowland barangays, as well as the expansion of insurance coverage to upland areasโ€”particularly for abaca and coffee farmers.
Mayor Palomar expressed his full support for PCICโ€™s initiatives, recognizing their role in helping secure the livelihood of local farmers through agricultural insurance
