Last July 28, 2025, a total of 53 senior citizens from Tapaz received โฑ10,000 each under the Expanded Centenarian Act (RA 11982), as part of the second quarter payout for the period April to June 2025.
The simple yet meaningful ceremony was graced by Mayor Rex Dante Palomar, who personally shared warm words of appreciation to the senior beneficiaries, honoring their lifetime of hard work, wisdom, and contribution to the community.
Mr. Collim Ferry G. Sayson from the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) shared an overview of the Expanded Centenarian Act of 2024, emphasizing the governmentโs commitment to giving back to our beloved elders.
The event was made possible through the efforts of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Ms. Josie G. Cambel, in partnership with Mrs. Esmeralda Dayalo, Head of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA).
More than just a payout, the event served as a reminder that Tapaz values its eldersโnot just in words, but through action and continued support.
