About This Statement
The Municipality of Tapaz is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards as guided by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) of the Philippines.
Continuous Improvement
We regularly review and update our accessibility practices to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and DICT guidelines for government websites.
Conformance Status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced in the DICT Philippine Web Accessibility Guidelines. We are currently in partial conformance — some content may not yet fully meet all accessibility criteria.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features on this website:
• Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
• Alt text on informational images
• Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements
• Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and backgrounds
• Responsive design that works on mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Descriptive link text to aid screen reader users
• Form labels associated with their input fields
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may not yet fully meet accessibility standards:
• Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers
• Certain embedded third-party content (maps, social media feeds) may have limited accessibility
• Some complex data tables may lack full ARIA markup
We are actively working to address these limitations in future updates.
