Forest Ranger

A Forest Ranger is responsible for protecting, conserving, and managing forest resources and ensuring compliance with environmental and forestry laws and regulations. The position involves conducting regular patrols and inspections of forest areas, monitoring forest conditions, preventing and reporting illegal activities such as unauthorized logging, forest fires, and wildlife exploitation, and assisting in the implementation of forest conservation and rehabilitation programs.

Conduct regular patrols and inspections of forestlands, protected areas, and other areas under jurisdiction to monitor forest conditions and activities.
Assist in the prevention, detection, and reporting of illegal logging, timber poaching, forest encroachment, wildlife hunting, and other unauthorized activities.
Monitor and report forest fires, environmental hazards, and other threats to forest resources.
Assist in the implementation of forest protection, conservation, rehabilitation, reforestation, and afforestation programs.
Enforce applicable forestry, environmental, and wildlife laws, rules, and regulations within the limits of authority.
Conduct field inspections and gather information, photographs, and other evidence concerning violations involving forest resources.
Assist in the monitoring and protection of wildlife, watersheds, biodiversity, and other natural resources within assigned areas.
Participate in tree planting, forest rehabilitation, nursery operations, and other environmental conservation activities.
Coordinate with local government units, community organizations, law enforcement agencies, and other concerned offices in forest protection and conservation activities.
Assist in information, education, and communication activities to promote public awareness on forest conservation, environmental protection, and sustainable use of natural resources.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on patrol activities, forest conditions, violations, incidents, and conservation activities.
Assist in responding to complaints and reports involving illegal activities or environmental concerns within forest areas.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
