The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI) successfully conducted the pilot payout of the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Program alongside the monthly Food Redemption Activity under the Walang Gutom Program on July 27, 2026, in the Municipality of Tapaz.
The activity was spearheaded by the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) headed by OIC-Division Chief Asuncion Santiago, together with Regional Program Coordinator Kriza Mae Germo, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Tapaz, led by Ms. Josie G. Cambel, MSWDO.
Qualified beneficiaries received a one-time ₱2,000 UPLIFT cash assistance, in addition to their ₱3,000 monthly food credit under the Walang Gutom Program.
It was attended by Municipal Mayor Hon. Rex Dante L. Palomar and Mr. Loreto Gadong, Executive Assistant V, expressed the Local Government Unit's continued support for national government initiatives that strengthen food security and provide financial assistance to vulnerable households.
