On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), in coordination with Local Government Unit (LGU) personnel, conducted a validation activity for the proposed rehabilitation of the Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP) and its irrigation canal in Sitio Mawang, Barangay Candelaria, Municipality of Tapaz.
The team also carried out a site validation for the proposed Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP) in Barangay Roosevelt to assess its feasibility and determine its potential benefits to local farmers and the agricultural sector.
The validation activities are part of the continuing efforts to improve irrigation infrastructure, enhance water availability for agricultural production, and support the sustainable development of farming communities in the municipality.
