The Municipality of Tapaz participated in the PhilHealth Yakap para Malayo sa Sakit Caravan held at the Brgy. Salong Gym, Tapaz, Capiz.
The activity was facilitated by the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Tapaz, headed by Dr. Chad Bryan Hilado, in partnership with PhilHealth. During the program, Mrs. Verlie Recio, Social Insurance Assistant I, discussed the importance of the PHILHEALTH YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) and the various healthcare services and benefits available.
Mayor Rex Dante L. Palomar affirmed the full support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tapaz for programs that promote accessible healthcare while upholding equality, inclusivity, and the well-being of the community.
As part of the caravan, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) personnel also conducted free medical check-ups and distributed medicines to all participants, ensuring that community members received essential healthcare services and medications. The initiative highlighted the LGU's continued commitment to bringing quality healthcare closer to the people while fostering a healthier, more inclusive, and empowered community
