About the Office
The Engineering Office is responsible for initiating, reviewing, and recommending changes to policies, objectives, plans, programs, techniques, procedures, and practices related to infrastructure development and public works of the Local Government Unit (LGU). It provides technical advice to the Mayor on matters concerning infrastructure, public works, and other engineering-related concerns. The office also administers, coordinates, supervises, and controls the construction, maintenance, improvement, and repair of roads, bridges, and other engineering and public works projects of the LGU. In addition, it provides engineering services, including investigation and surveys, preparation of engineering designs, feasibility studies, and project management. For the Provincial Engineer, the office exercises technical supervision over the engineering offices of component cities and municipalities. The Engineering Office also performs such other powers, duties, and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
