About the Office
The Municipal General Services Office (MGSO) handles the management of all properties owned by the LGU. It maintains records of property, plant and equipment (PPE) and semi-expendable properties (SEP), their acquisition, utilization, transfers and disposal. It is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the Tapaz Government Center (TGC) and the Civic Center. It manages the janitorial services to ensure cleanliness of the TGC. It handles the purchase and issuance of all inventories, materials, office supplies, and fuel for all vehicles and heavy equipment. The MGSO handles the processing of insurance for all buildings, vehicles and heavy equipment, including the renewal of license in the Land Transportation Office. The MGSO, in tandem with the Municipal Accounting Office, is tasked to conduct the semi-annual physical count of inventories, supplies, and SEPs. It is also tasked to conduct the annual physical count of all PPEs. The MGSO is also responsible for the safe-keeping and disposal of LGU records after their retention period.
