About the Office

The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) is established pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code 1991 (Republic Act No. 7160), which mandates every local government unit to institutionalize a planning and development office responsible for formulating integrated economic, social, physical, and environmental plans.

Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | No Noon Break

Closed on weekends and holidays.

Mandate

Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Planning and Development Office is mandated to: Formulate integrated socio-economic, physical, and environmental plans and policies for the municipality.
Conduct continuing studies, research, and statistical analysis necessary for development planning.
Integrate and coordinate all sectoral development plans from various offices.
Prepare and update the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP), and Annual Investment Program (AIP)
Provide technical assistance to the Barangays in preparing their respective development and investment plans.

Services Provided

Zoning Certificates & Land Use Verification: Ensure proposed land use aligns with the Municipal Zoning Ordinance.

Statistical Requests: Access aggregated socio-economic indicators and demographic reports.

Barangay Development Planning (BDP) Technical Assistance: Guidance on aligning barangay priority lists with municipal sectors.

CBMS & Community Data Support: Access household and community-level data for target interventions.
