About the Office

The Municipal Public Safety Office aims to provide an immediate response for the prevention and protection of
the public from dangers affecting safety such as crimes and disasters. With the assistance of the Philippine National
Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Office of the Civil Defense, we strive to ensure the protection
of municipal residents, individuals within the municipality, organizations and institutions against threats to their
well-being and to the prosperity of their communities.

Mandate

To promote safe and pro-active environment for the residents to pursue their individual economic and personal
aspirations. The Public Safety Office (PSO) under the direction of the Mayor shall actively participate in the proper
implementation od all existing laws, ordinances, and guidelines together with other law enforcing body in the
government. Through proper coordination, it seeks to prevent opportunities that may lead to the commission of crimes.
It also serves as an augmentation to the mobilization of manpower and resources in the implementation of
contingency plans to minimize the effects of disasters and other calamities. To ensure the safety of motorists, it
assists in the enforcement of traffic regulations and cooperates in the apprehension of violators of traffic ordinances.

Mission

To be primary organization in the Municipality of Tapaz, fostering a united front in collaboration with the Philippine
National Police (PNP) and other law enforcement agencies to combat criminality, illegal drugs, terrorism, and all
forms of lawlessness.

Services Provided

Implement and enforce municipal ordinances.

Serve as a force multiplier of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Provide security for national and regional VIPs.

Conduct clean-up drive activities.

Assist in ensuring the safety and security of municipal employees and guests during official activities.
