About the Office

The Municipal Treasury Office is a vital department of the Local Government Unit (LGU) responsible for the management of the collection, safekeeping and management of the Municipality's funds. It ensures the efficient collection of local revenues, proper disbursement of public funds and compliance with government financial laws and regulation in support of transparent and accountable local governance.

Closed on weekends and holidays.

Mandate

1. Collection of Local Revenues (Real Property Tax, Local Business tax, Fees and Charges & Economic Enterprise);
2. Advise the Mayor, the Sangguniang Bayan and the other local government and national officials concerned regarding disposition of local government funds, and on such other matters relative to public finance;
3. Take custody of and exercise proper management of the funds of the Local Government Unit concerned;
4. Take charge of the disbursement of all local government funds and such other funds the custody of which may be entrusted to him by laws or other competent authority;
5. Certify as to availability of funds;
6. Custody and requisition of Accountable Forms
7. Check and cash disbursement;
8. Examine the books of account and pertinent records of businessmen;
9. Certify Real Property Tax delinquencies;
10. Inspect private, commercial and industrial establishment within the jurisdiction of Local Government Unit;
11. Maintain and update the tax information system of Local Government Unit;
12. Prepare and submit reports;
13. Custodian of ballot boxes and election paraphernalia’s; and
14. Member of various committees.

Generate revenues thru efficient collection of taxes, fees and charges in accordance with existing laws and ordinances, take custody and exercise proper management of the finances of the municipality in order to sustain and maintain financial needs as well as its development.
