Tapaz, Capiz l July 10, 2025
The Tapaz Performing Arts (TPA), represented by Catherine Golveo, Master Teacher I, and Isidro G. Gayagaya, Master Teacher III of Col. Patrocinio Artuz National High School (CPANHS), paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rex Dante Palomar to express their intent to revive the cultural and musical program that was first launched in 2018 but was temporarily halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the visit, the TPA team shared their vision of continuing the legacy of nurturing local talent through music and performing arts, which has contributed significantly to youth development and cultural preservation in Tapaz. As the program resumes, the team humbly seeks the support of the municipal administration, particularly in the repair and purchase of musical instruments, which are essential for training and performances.
Mayor Palomar welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the initiative, recognizing the importance of arts and culture in building a vibrant, expressive, and inclusive community. He also committed to explore ways the LGU can extend assistance for the successful revival of the Tapaz Performing Arts.
The courtesy visit signifies a renewed hope for the continuation of a meaningful and transformative program that celebrates Tapaznon creativity, passion, and cultural identity.
