The Tapaz Professionals Indigenous Peoples Association (TPIPA), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Alternative Learning System (ALS) in the Municipality of Tapaz, conducted a Capbuild Training to Council of Elders and School Heads last September 7, 2023 at Tapaz Civic Center, Tapaz, Capiz.
The purpose of the said activity is to reach out and assist the participants in formulating the Barangay Literacy Coordinating Council as stated in RA7165, creating the Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC), to ensure that there is a body that will provide direction in the inter-agency for planning and implementation, specifically for the eradication of illiteracy.
This was attended by Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar, Vice Mayor Romel Somo, Richard Allan B. Borja-Culture and Arts Officer from NCCA, Hon. Hernalyn Pastrana, Hon. Aiza Exmundo, Vito Navarra, MLGOO, MSWDO Josie Cambel, Principal III Raul Jimenez, CDO III of NCIP Ruby Capada, PMSg Linnie Catorce and Pcpl Rona Mae Onato, Teresa Gloria, Tourism and Education Consultant and Conrado Jimenez, President of TPIPA.
