The Local Government Unit of Tapaz, under the leadership of Mayor Roberto βNonongβ Palomar, held a crucial COA Entrance Conference last December 19,2023 at Executive Conference Hall, to facilitate an in-depth audit of all financial transactions. COA officials, together with the LGU Tapaz team and department heads, convened to discuss the parameters and expectations of the audit process.
The Entrance Conference marks the beginning of a thorough examination of financial records, ensuring compliance with government regulations and financial prudence. The audit, conducted by the Commission on Audit, aims to uphold transparency and accountability in the utilization of public funds.
Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar emphasized the LGU’s commitment to cooperate fully with the audit process, underscoring the importance of maintaining the highest standards of financial management. All department heads and officials present pledged their support for a smooth and comprehensive audit.
The COA Exit Conference is scheduled to take place on or before June 2024, where the findings and recommendations of the audit will be presented. This initiative aligns with the LGU Tapaz’s dedication to good governance and responsible fiscal management for the benefit of the Tapaznon community.
