The Municipality of Tapaz, Capiz Province, has been selected as the research area for the project titled โMonitoring and Evaluation of Handling Children in Armed Conflict (CIAC/CAAC/SAC) Cases in the Municipality of Tapaz, Capiz Province.”As part of this initiative, a team of scholars from the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) visited the office of Mayor Roberto Palomar and Maam Chay Palomar lastJuly 8, 2024.
During their visit, the scholars will conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and Psychological First Aid (PFA) sessions with service providers. They will also gather essential data for the development of the Makabata Program Handbook.
The visiting scholars are:

This project aims to enhance the welfare and protection of children in armed conflict situations through thorough monitoring and evaluation. The findings and insights gathered will significantly contribute to the development of effective programs and interventions
