Last July 19, 2024, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), Municipal Information Office (MIO) and the Municipal Health Office (MHO) successfully facilitated the βProject Smileβ (Simple Initiative of Love and Expression).
This heartwarming initiative, spearheaded by Maam Milagros βChayβ Roa Palomar, aimed to bring joy and support to bedridden senior citizens in our community.
Project Smile reached out to 20 deserving beneficiaries, providing them with essential groceries and a cash gift of PHP 1,000 each. The project not only offered material support but also brought a sense of care and compassion to those who need it most.
Maam Milagros βChayβ Roa Palomar expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of Project Smile, stating, βThis initiative is a proof to our communityβs spirit of love and solidarity to our bedridden elderly. We hope to continue spreading smiles and support to our senior citizens who have given so much to our society.β
The MSWDO, OSCA, MIO and MHO are committed to continuing such efforts to improve the well-being of our senior citizens, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.
