The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) has released a total of P1,320,000.00 in checks to three local associations to support their livelihood projects. The checks were distributed as follows:
-GARAHE Livelihood Association, for Egg Production: P360,000.00
– WRIGHT Proper Livelihood Association, for Egg Production: P440,000.00
– ARTUZ Livelihood Association,for Native Chicken Production: P520,000.00
The release of funds was facilitated by Mayor Roberto βNonongβ Palomar, Maam Chay Roa Palomar, DSWD-SLP-MSWDO personnel, and the LGU Monitoring Team.
Mayor Palomar emphasized the importance of these livelihood initiatives in improving the socio-economic conditions of the community. “This support is crucial in empowering our local associations to become self-sufficient and contribute to the overall development of our community. We are committed to monitor and provide the necessary resources and assistance to ensure the success of these projects,” he stated.
The DSWD SLP aims to enhance the capacities of its beneficiaries by providing them with the means to start and sustain their livelihood activities. The funds will be used to purchase materials and equipment needed for the egg production and native chicken production projects, enabling the associations to generate income and improve their members’ quality of life.
The LGU Monitoring Team will continue to provide technical assistance and monitor the progress of these projects to ensure their successful implementation and sustainability.
