The local government, led by Mayor Roberto โ€œNonongโ€ Palomar, has distributed financial assistance to 83 individuals and households affected by recent tornadoes in five barangays: Apero, San Sulian, Roxas, Daan Banwa, and Candelaria. The distribution of assistance aims to help the victims recover and rebuild their homes and lives.

A total of P5,000 was given to households that were totally damaged, and P3,000 was provided to those that were partially damaged. Specifically, 4 households suffered total damage, while 79 households experienced partial damage due to the tornadoes.

The event was attended by Mayor Roberto Palomar, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (LDRMMO) Bridgette Abordo, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Josie Cambel, Municipal Engineer Engr. Victorio Jimenez and Information Officer/Peso Manager EnP Stephen Faeldin.

Mayor Palomar emphasized the importance of immediate support to the affected families. “We are committed to provide the necessary assistance to our residents who have been severely affected by these natural disasters. This financial aid is just the beginning of our efforts to help them rebuild their homes and lives,” said Mayor Palomar.

“This initiative reflects our collective commitment to serve our community and ensuring that no one is left behind during such difficult timesโ€
