The Municipality of Tapaz held a successful Sustainable Livelihood Program Orientation last August 7, 2024 graced by the presence of Mayor Roberto Palomar. In his remarks, Mayor Palomar emphasized the importance of sustainable development and the pivotal role of livelihood programs in empowering local communities.
The event was also attended by notable guests including Josie Cambel, Alvin Semillano, Anthony Autiangco, and Provincial Coordinator PDO II Lourine Reyes. Their participation highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in supporting community development initiatives.
One of the key highlights of the event was the announcement of a substantial PHP 1.2 million cash assistance for the livelihood program, benefiting 80 local beneficiaries. Each beneficiary will receive PHP 15,000 to support their entrepreneurial endeavors and improve their economic stability.
Mayor Palomar remarked, “This program is a proof to our commitment to foster sustainable livelihoods and providing our constituents with the necessary resources to achieve financial independence and contribute to the overall progress of our community.”
The orientation provided attendees with valuable insights into the program’s objectives, implementation strategies, and the support available to ensure the success of their livelihood projects.
