In a continued effort to support local agriculture, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tapaz, through the Municipal Agriculture Office, successfully conducted an orientation and distribution event for the bio-fertilizer foliar fertilizer, Bio-N, aimed at enhancing rice production. The event, held recently, benefitted 147 local farmers.

The initiative was spearheaded by Jhel Giner from the Municipal Agriculture Office, who emphasized the importance of sustainable farming practices and the role of bio-fertilizers in improving crop yields while maintaining soil health. The distribution event was further facilitated by Chris Gerald Ray Gardose and Rachelle Seralvo, who ensured the smooth delivery of the fertilizers to the beneficiaries.

Adding significance to the event, Mr. Marcelino Nanoy Jr. from the Department of Agriculture Region 6 attended the distribution, highlighting the government’s ongoing commitment to agricultural development and support for farmers in the region.

Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar also underscored the LGU dedication to empower local farmers by providing them with the resources and knowledge needed to boost productivity and contribute to food security in Tapaz.

This initiative marks another step in the LGU mission to promote sustainable agriculture and enhance the livelihoods of farmers in the municipality.
