Joaquin Artuz Elementary School recently held an important Awareness Raising event for elementary pupils, focusing on the Opening of the Teen Center and a Symposium against Dengue and Child Abuse. This initiative aims to educate and protect the children of Tapaz by providing them with the necessary knowledge and resources to stay safe and healthy.
The event was graced by EnP Stephen Faeldin, who represented Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar and Municipal Administrator Milagros “Chay” Palomar. Also in attendance were MSWDO Josie G. Cambel, PNP personnel Joyce Crazo and Aisah Palomar, who each played a vital role in delivering key messages during the symposium.
The Joaquin Artuz Elementary School (JAES) community, led by Principal Glenda Gervero, actively participated in the event, ensuring that the children were engaged and informed about the critical issues discussed. The launch of the Teen Center is a significant milestone for JAES, providing a safe space where students can access educational resources and support services.
The symposium highlighted the dangers of dengue and the importance of early prevention, as well as the critical issue of child abuse, empowering the students with knowledge on how to protect themselves and seek help when necessary.
This event underscores the commitment of the local government, educational institutions, and law enforcement agencies to safeguard the welfare of children in Tapaz. The collaborative efforts made during this awareness-raising activity reflect the community’s dedication to creating a safe and nurturing environment for its youngest members.
