The Senior Citizen Social Pension Program successfully commenced its 3rd Quarter Payout on Day 1, benefiting 1,641 senior citizens across 32 barangays. Each beneficiary received PHP 3,000 in financial assistance, a significant help for their daily needs.
Mayor Roberto Palomar graced the event, delivering an inspiring message to the beneficiaries. He emphasized the importance of maintaining good health, especially during the later years of life, and reminded the senior citizens to utilize the pension wisely to support their well-being.
The distribution was smoothly facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), in coordination with personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). MSWDO Head Josie Cambel and OSCA Chairperson Esmeralda Dayalo led the team in ensuring that the payout process was efficient and orderly.
