The 3rd Quarter Senior Citizen Pension Payout continued successfully, with 11 barangays covered on Day 2 and 15 barangays on Day 3, ensuring that thousands of senior citizens received their much-needed financial support.
A total of 1, 585 senior citizens received their Php 3,000 pension on Day 2, while 1,348 seniors from various barangays benefited on Day 3. The payout was part of the Social Pension Program aimed at providing financial aid to indigent senior citizens to help them with their daily needs.
Mayor Roberto O. Palomar, who oversaw the distribution, emphasized the local governmentโs commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the elderly. He expressed his appreciation to all the agencies and personnel involved in ensuring a smooth and organized payout.
The event was also graced by Maโam Milagros “Chay” Palomar, who shared an inspiring message to the senior citizens. She reassured them that the Municipality of Tapaz remains dedicated to delivering essential services that directly improve the quality of life for its elderly population.
The successful payout over these two days demonstrates the local governmentโs efficiency in providing services to its most vulnerable sectors, highlighting the importance of collaboration between local officials and national agencies in supporting the needs of the elderly.
