Today, October 10, 2024 A total of 181 beneficiaries from 9 barangays of the Municipality of Tapaz joint DOLE TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Orientation.
Facilitated by the DOLE Capiz Field Office headed by MYRON AZARCON – Tupad Focal Person, JOHN CRIS REQUILLAS, JOANA JEAN PALAYO, JUSTINE PAUL BANDELLON – Tupad Coordinator with the support of the Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO) headed by EnP. STEPHEN G. FAELDIN.
The orientation of stipends marks another successful collaboration between DOLE and the local government, aimed at providing short-term employment to marginalized sectors in Tapaz. Beneficiaries engaged in various community-based activities such as sanitation, road clearing, and other public works.
The event was graced by Mayor ROBERTO “Nonong” Palomar, who delivered an inspiring message to the beneficiaries, expressing gratitude for their service to the community and encouraging them to continue striving for progress.
The Tupad program continues to be a crucial program that helps displaced workers find temporary work, boosts the local economy, and upgrades infrastructure in the neighborhood.
