Acting mayor Hon. Romel G. Somo and SB member Hon. Marlon Perez SB graced the Solo Parent General Assembly on October 23, 2024. This important event was held at the Tapaz Civic Center
The program featured a comprehensive agenda designed to support and empower solo parents in the community. Ms. Josie G. Cambel. RSW.RSSW & Ms. Frances Aira C. Falco RSW – COS, provided an in-depth discussion of this crucial legislation. The orientation aimed to educate participants about their rights and benefits under the new law, enhancing their understanding and access to available resources. Through this organization, we seek to provide comprehensive support, including financial, emotional, and social services tailored to the needs of solo parents and their families. This includes educational assistance for their children, livelihood opportunities, and other forms of assistance aimed at empowering solo parents to overcome the challenges they face daily.
The Solo Parent General Assembly not only served as a platform for education and resource distribution but also strengthened the communityβs support systems, reflecting the ongoing commitment of the Local Government Unit of Tapaz to enhancing the lives of solo parents and their children.
