The 4th Quarter Meeting of the Persons with Disability (PWD) was held today October 29, 2024, at Tapaz Therapy Center with the dedicated support of our Mayor Roberto O. Palomar and Ma’am Milagros “Chay” Palomar.
The Persons with Disability (PWD) Action Officer Mrs. Mary Jane L. Delantar, led the 4th quarter meeting focused on the actions and Concern on ongoing programs and promotions, as well as updates on both local initiatives. A significant highlight of the meeting was the PWD Barangays Presidents report/update, Year – End Conference 2024 and Filipino sign Language Trainings, with the collaboration of our MSWDO headed by Ms. Josie G. Cambel, RSW, MSSW for her unwavering support and commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of our PWD have truly made a difference. Together, we are building a safer and healthier future for our community.
This approach not only allowed for a more candid exchange but also highlighted ongoing limitations within existing frameworks supporting PWDs in Tapaz. All things considered, this event is a prime example of the proactive steps local officials have taken to address disability rights issues and foster
cultural sensitivity.
The members reaffirmed their dedication to advancing the rights and opportunities for Filipinos with disabilities, emphasizing continuous improvements toward greater inclusivity and service.
