For 2023, LGU Tapaz hailed as 3rd Place in Region 6 and Rank 1 in the province of Capiz for the most improved Municipality base on 5 pillars (Economic Dynamism, Infrastructure, Government Efficiency, Resiliency and Innovativeness)
This was attended by Mayor Roberto โNonongโ Palomar, OIC Administrator Milagros โChayโ Palomar and EnP Stephen Faeldin, Information Officer-designate.
The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) in the Philippines is typically assessed and managed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with various government agencies and local government units (LGUs), USAid, Private sectors and stakeholders.
The CMCI assessment involves a collaborative effort among government agencies, local government units, private sectors and various stakeholders.
The CMCI is part of the Philippine government’s efforts to promote local economic development and enhance the competitiveness of cities and municipalities, thereby attracting investments and fostering economic growth.
