Last February 8, 2024, marked a significant milestone for 857 Tapaznon farmers who received their Farmerβs Interventions Monitoring Cards (IMC) from the Department of Agriculture (DA). This initial distribution is part of the first batch of 6,530 Farmers Beneficiaries slated to receive support through this program.
Mayor Roberto βNonongβ Palomar underscored the importance of this initiative in uplifting the livelihoods of local farmers and promoting agricultural sustainability in Tapaz. He emphasized the critical role that farmers play in ensuring food security and economic resilience within the community. Furthermore, Mayor Palomar expressed his gratitude to the Department of Agriculture for their unwavering support and commitment to the welfare of Tapaznon farmers.
The Farmerβs Interventions Monitoring Card, coupled with financial assistance, represents a tangible investment in the agricultural sector, empowering farmers with resources to enhance productivity, adopt modern farming techniques, and overcome challenges. Mayor Palomar reiterated the LGUβs dedication to supporting farmers and fostering a thriving agricultural sector that serves as the backbone of Tapazβs economy.
