Last June 7, 2024 at SM City, Iloilo, The Municipality of Tapaz has been honored for its outstanding commitment and dedication in instituting programs and services aimed at promoting and protecting the welfare and interests of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families in Western Visayas.
This prestigious award acknowledges the tireless efforts of the local government in creating and implementing initiatives that address the unique challenges faced by OFWs and their families. Through various programs, the Municipality of Tapaz has provided comprehensive support, ensuring that the needs of OFWs and their loved ones are met with compassion and efficiency.
Mayor Roberto Palomar expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This award is a proof to our commitment to our kababayans working abroad and their families here in Tapaz. We understand the sacrifices they make, and it is our duty to support them in every way possible.”
