On June 18-19, 2024, a Basic Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Training with Emergency First Aid was conducted for four barangaysβ€”Poblacion, Daan Banwa, San Francisco, and San Joseβ€”at the Tapaz Civic Center.

The training was facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by LDRMMO III Brigette B. Abordo. The session aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in disaster preparedness and emergency response.

The Philippine Red Cross Capiz Chapter, led by Kenny Bajande, Chapter Representative for Disaster Management, conducted the training. Participants were trained on various aspects of disaster risk reduction, emergency first aid, and effective response strategies to enhance community resilience against potential disasters.

This initiative highlight the commitment of the LGU Tapaz and its partners to building safer and more resilient communities through continuous education and preparedness.
