A significant milestone was reached as 300 beneficiaries from 10 barangays participated in the contract signing ceremony for the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) program.

The event was facilitated by DOLE personnel from the Capiz field office and assisted by MPESO headed by EnP Stephen Faeldin-MPESO manager who ensured a smooth and efficient process for all attendees. The program aims to provide temporary employment to workers in the informal sector who have been displaced or whose livelihoods have been adversely affected by crises.

During the ceremony, Mayor Roberto Palomar emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering community resilience and economic stability. He noted, “This program not only offers immediate financial relief but also empowers our residents by providing them with valuable work experience and skills.”

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting how the program has positively impacted their lives and provided a source of income during challenging times.

The DOLE TUPAD program continues to be a vital lifeline for many disadvantaged workers, offering hope and support through employment opportunities in various community-based projects.
