The inaugural Tapaz Youth Leadership Summit was successfully held from June 28-30, 2024, at Tapaz National High School. This event brought together the municipality’s young leaders, aiming to foster their skills and prepare them for future responsibilities.
The summit’s opening program was graced by several distinguished guests, including EnP Stephen Faeldin, who represented Mayor Roberto Palomar, LTC Vicel Jan C. Garsuta of the 121B, Mr. Aldrin Falco, CPA, BOST Head , Hon. Peter Frank Gallenero, SK Federation President ,Representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were also in attendance, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the event.
The participants of the summit comprised 58 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons and Officials, representing various barangays across Tapaz. Over the course of three days, they engaged in a series of workshops, seminars, and team-building activities designed to enhance their leadership abilities and civic awareness.
EnP Stephen Faeldin, in his address, emphasized the importance of empowering the youth and the vital role they play in shaping the future of Tapaz. He commended the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to their communities.
LTC Vicel Jan C. Garsuta and Mr. Aldrin Falco also shared their insights on leadership and the significance of integrity, discipline, and dedication in public service. Their presence and words of wisdom inspired the young leaders to aspire for excellence in their roles.
The Tapaz Youth Leadership Summit 2024 marks a significant step towards nurturing the next generation of leaders who will contribute to the progress and development of Tapaz. The LGU Tapaz, along with its partners, remains committed to supporting and empowering the youth through continuous learning and development opportunities.
