To support the agricultural sector, Municipal Agricultural Office led by Jhel Giner spearheaded the awarding and releasing of indemnity claims to Tapaznon farmers. A total of 394 cheques, amounting to PhP 1,724,661, were distributed to the deserving farmers.

This initiative aims to provide financial relief and support to local farmers who have faced various challenges, including natural calamities and other unforeseen events that have impacted their productivity. The indemnity claims were facilitated by the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), ensuring that farmers receive timely assistance.

Mayor Roberto Palomar emphasized the importance of this support in sustaining the agricultural livelihood of Tapaz. “Our farmers are the backbone of our community. Ensuring they have the resources they need to recover and thrive is essential for our local economy and food security,” he said.

The awarding ceremony, held at the Tapaz Municipal Hall, was attended by representatives from the PCIC, local government officials, and the beneficiary farmers. The distribution of these indemnity claims is a testament to the continuous efforts of the local government to uplift the agricultural sector and provide the necessary support to its farmers.

This another milestone in the ongoing commitment of the Tapaz local government to enhance the welfare and resilience of its agricultural community.
