At the center of Barangay Wright in the Municipality of Tapaz, a light has been turned on anew through the Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay Integrated Livelihood Program. This program implemented by the Capiz Police Provincial Office in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment has turned out to be revolutionary in eradicating the problem of unemployment in this strong-nerved region.
Today, July 5, 2024, was a new day. The vegetable seeds and compost were not just given out; they were a form of sustenance, an assurance of something better.
With the help of the Local Government Unit of Tapaz headed by the LGU Mayor, Hon. Roberto O. Palomar, the program, which was coordinated by the Municipal Agriculture Office with the hardworking Jhel Giner, was a grand affair in the community.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office and the Department of Labor and Employment not only helped in the distribution but also in the training so that every recipient would know what to do and how to properly manage their new crops.
The effectiveness of this program does not stop at the mere provision of the necessities mentioned above. It has helped strengthen the unity and goal of Barangay Wright again by inspiring the spirit of the community to work together.
While families prepare their new pieces of land and sow seeds, they are not only sowing vegetables; they are sowing hope, dignity, and the ability to feed themselves.
Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay Integrated Livelihood Program is the seed, and as the seed is planted and grows, so does the dream and hope of the people of Barangay Wright. In this emotional transformation towards a new and improved world, the people of this community hold hands and wait for the fruits of their labor.
