In celebration of National Disability Month, the LGU Tapaz has turned over 10 wheelchairs to 10 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This initiative is a proof of the municipality’s commitment to enhance the mobility and independence of PWDs in the community.
The turnover ceremony was attended by Maโam Milagros Chay Roa Palomar, Municipal Administrator, and the MSWDO oversight who initiated the distribution of Wheelchairs. In her message, Maโam Chay emphasized the importance of providing support and resources to PWDs to improve their quality of life.
“This initiative reflects our dedication to ensure that every member of our community has the means to live a dignified and empowered life. We are committed to continuously supporting our PWDs and providing them with the necessary assistance,” stated Maโam Chay.
The event was attended by the MSWDO, led by Josie Cambel, and the PDAO, represented by Mary Jane Delantar. The distribution of the wheelchairs is our step towards inclusivity and accessibility for all residents of Tapaz.
