From August 13-16, 2024, LGU Tapaz, under the leadership of Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar, participated in the 3-day Regional PESO Congress held in San Lorenzo, Guimaras. The delegation included Municipal Administrator Milagros “Chay” Palomar, SB Member Hon. Loreto Gadong, and Information Officer and concurrent PESO Manager, EnP Stephen Faeldin.
During the congress, LGU Tapaz was honored with substantial support from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6. The municipality was awarded Php 2 million and an additional Php 5 million for the Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO) in recognition of its exemplary performance as a PESO-registered entity in the region.
The presence of Mayor Palomar, Maโam Chay, and SB Gadong at the event underscored the municipality’s commitment to enhancing employment services and livelihood opportunities for its residents. This recognition from DOLE Region 6, led by Regional Director Sixto Rodriguez, highlights the remarkable achievements of MPESO Tapaz in delivering employment-related programs and services.
The LGU Tapaz extends its deepest gratitude to DOLE Region 6 for this generous support. These funds will significantly contribute to further improving employment initiatives and fostering economic growth in Tapaz.
