In a continued effort to support local livelihood initiatives, Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) personnel and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Josie Cambel, personally handed over cheque grants to several Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in the municipality.
The cheque distribution, held at the Tapaz Municipal Hall, provided vital funding for community livelihood projects aimed at boosting economic development and empowering local associations. The following associations received their financial assistance:
Tib-ong Proper Livelihood Associationโ Php 280,000
Tara Na Pasay-an Livelihood Association-Php 345,000
Uswag Gutusan Livelihood Association โ Php 240,000
Mayor Palomar expressed his commitment to the continued success of these associations, emphasizing that these projects are essential in providing sustainable income for local families and uplifting the standard of living in Tapaz.
“We are proud of these associations for their dedication to creat better opportunities for their communities. With these grants, we are confident that they will be able to start or expand their livelihood projects and, in turn, contribute to the overall economic growth of our municipality,” Mayor Palomar stated during the turn-over
