The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Municipal Health Office, brought smiles and relief to bedridden senior citizens in various barangays, including Candelaria, San Nicolas, Lagdungan, San Antonio, San Julian, Cristina, and Initan.
Through “Project Smile,” the MSWDO, Mayor Roberto Palomar and Maam Chay Palomar, extended financial assistance and essential groceries to deserving beneficiaries from these communities. The initiative provided each recipient with a cash gift of โฑ1,000, alongside basic goods to support their daily needs.
Maam Milagros Milagros โChayโ Roa Palomar personally visited the beneficiaries to hand over the groceries and cash, showing her heartfelt commitment to uplifting the lives of the elderly and vulnerable members of the community.
The Municipal Health Office also took part in the program by conducting health assessments of the bedridden seniors, ensuring that their medical needs are addressed.
Project Smile aims to provide not only financial support but also care and attention to those who are often overlooked, reinforcing the municipality’s dedication to serving its people.
The initiative will continue to reach more households in need, delivering hope and assistance one smile at a time.
