On September 25, 2024, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tapaz successfully facilitated the pay-out for the Enhanced National Greening Program (E-NGP) beneficiaries involved in the Bamboo and Coffee Project. The project aims to promote sustainable agriculture and reforestation efforts within the municipality.
A total of 86 beneficiaries from the Bamboo sector and 28 beneficiaries from the Coffee sector received financial assistance through the program. The pay-out event was held at the Tapaz Training Hall and was attended by OIC Mayor Milagros “Chay” Roa Palomar, who delivered an inspiring message to the beneficiaries. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of their role in contributing to the municipality’s environmental goals and encouraged them to continue their active participation in the project for a greener future.
The project, which is part of the national governmentโs commitment to environmental sustainability, was facilitated by MENRO (Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office) under the leadership of Engr. Neriza Pacenio. The Municipal Treasurer’s Office personnel handled the disbursement of funds to ensure the smooth and efficient release of the financial support.
This initiative is expected to strengthen local reforestation efforts and improve the livelihoods of farmers and environmental advocates in Tapaz. The LGU, through projects like the E-NGP, continues to show its dedication to both community welfare and environmental stewardship.
