𝗢𝗙𝗪 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘇 𝗢𝗙𝗪𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀

On September 27, 2024, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families gathered at the Tapaz Civic Center for the OFW Forum, where they were provided with valuable information and support from three key government agencies – the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). These agencies presented a range of programs and services designed to benefit OFWs and their families, especially in times of need.

A highlight of the event was the provision of financial assistance to distressed OFWs, showcasing the government’s commitment to easing the burdens faced by our modern-day heroes.

The event was graced by Mayor Roberto Palomar, who in his message, honored the sacrifices and contributions of OFWs, calling them the town’s unsung heroes. “𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚, 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨,” Mayor Palomar stated.

The forum was organized and facilitated by the Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO), under the leadership of EnP Stephen Faeldin, further demonstrating the local government’s continuous efforts in supporting the welfare of OFWs and their families.
