The Local Government Unit of Tapaz happily celebrated Elderly Filipino Week, October 11, 2024 honoring the wisdom, contributions, and enduring spirit of our senior citizens.
The celebration was filled with joy, meaningful activities, and shared moments, as our elderly community gathered to commemorate their vital role in shaping our townβs history and future.
The event was graced by Mayor Roberto ” Nonong” Palomar and Ma’am Milagros “Chay” Palomar conveyed their appreciation to the senior citizens of Tapaz , urging them to remain actively involved in government initiatives. Their also highlighted the significance of respecting and valuing the elderly, noting that they embody the communityβs history and cultural legacy.
Hon. Romel G. Somo, Vice Mayor, Mrs. Esmeralda Dayalo, OSCA Head, Hon. Bob Gardose, SB. Chairman of Senior Citizen President, Mr. JAIME BALISANG BOD Chairman, and Mr. ROMUALDO G. GARBO FSCAP President, emphasized to the attendees the ongoing efforts of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs and the Local Government Unit of Tapaz in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the elderly in the municipality.
This event was facilitated by the MSWDO headed by Ms. JOSIE G. CAMBEL, RSW, MSSW.
To all the Senior Citizens out there, Happy Elderly Week! Your years of experience, hard work and dedication have shaped our world. You are an inspiration to us all, your stories, your experiences, and your wisdom remind us that life is a journey worth celebrating at every stage.
As we celebrate their invaluable contributions, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an environment of care, respect, and support for all our elderly citizens. Thank you, our dear Lolos and Lolas!
