Theme: โFuture Proofing Scouting for the Next Century and Beyondโ
The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Capiz Council, District of Tapaz East, successfully held its Joint BSP, Kab Scout, and Kid Scout District Camporal 2024 at Joaquin Artuz Elementary School in Taft, Tapaz, Capiz, from October 12-13, 2024. With the theme โFuture Proofing Scouting for the Next Century and Beyond,โ the event gathered young scouts from 17 participating schools, preparing them to become the next generation of leaders.
A total of 223 active Kab Scouts, representing the youthโs dedication to nation-building through the Kabataan Alay sa Bayan program, joined the camp along with 54 Kid Scouts, demonstrating the early foundation of discipline and character-building in young children. Mayor Roberto โNonongโ Palomar, who graced the event, delivered an inspiring message to the young scouts, emphasizing their role as the future leaders of the community. โYou are the next generation who will lead and shape our nation. Through scouting, we are helping build your character and prepare you for the challenges ahead,โ Mayor Palomar said. He commended the dedication of the scouts and the efforts of the leaders and organizers for creating an event that highlights the values of discipline, teamwork, and service to others.
Also in attendance were Vice Mayor Romel Somo, Glenda Gervero, Principal of JAES, Teachers and parents from Tapaz East District.
The two-day camp will include various activities that foster leadership, camaraderie, and outdoor skills, aligning with the vision of scouting to equip young individuals for the future.
