The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) granted financial assistance of PHP 30,000 to ten OFWs from the Municipality of Tapaz. This financial aid is part of the governmentβs ongoing efforts to recognize the invaluable contributions of OFWs to the nationβs economy and to provide them with much-needed support during times of hardship.
Mayor Roberto βNonongβ Palomar and Maβam Chay Palomar personally expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the OFWs, recognizing their sacrifices and dedication. βOur OFWs are our modern-day heroes, and their hard work and perseverance deserve the highest honor,β Mayor Palomar remarked during the handover ceremony.
The financial assistance program was facilitated by the PESO Office, under the leadership of PESO Manager EnP Stephen Faeldin, who worked closely with the DMW to ensure the smooth distribution of aid. This initiative highlights the local governmentβs commitment to provide essential support to Tapaznon OFWs and their families, strengthening the communityβs bonds with its global workers.
