Showcasing Good Governance to the Farmers.

A transformative participatory varietal selection event today,

October 15, 2024, showcased good governance as the Local Government Unit of Tapaz and agricultural experts from Department of Agriculture- Province of Capiz and Municipal Agriculture Office of Tapaz united to empower farmers, ensuring resilience against unpredictable weather and uplifting the agricultural sector.

This collaborative effort emphasizes the shared commitment to uplift the agricultural sector in Tapaz, ensuring a sustainable future for local farmers, especially in Barangay Salong.

The input from the DA Province of Capiz team lead by Gerwin Maximo, Science Research Specialist II and Jaime Ferrer, Agricultural Technician II, coupled with the expertise of MAO personnel, enriched the discussions, paving the way for informed decisions that reflect the unique needs of Barangay Salong.

With Mayor Roberto Palomar leading the charge, Tapaz is poised to cultivate a thriving agricultural sector that can withstand the test of time and climate. The journey towards agricultural sustainability begins here, and it is a journey that promises to uplift the lives of many.
